Recording & AI Disclosure
Last updated September 6, 2026
Plain-language document and a starting template. Have your own legal counsel review and finalize it — including the bracketed [placeholders] — before you rely on it.
In short
When you call a business that uses FLReception, you are speaking with an automated assistant, and the call may be recorded. The assistant tells you both of these things at the very start of the call, before it collects any information. Staying on the line means you consent to continuing on that basis.
You’re speaking with an automated assistant
FLReception answers calls with an AI voice assistant, not a live employee. We disclose this on every call. The assistant is designed to help you book an appointment quickly; if it can’t help, it captures your number so the business can call you back.
Call recording & consent
Calls may be recorded and transcribed so the assistant can understand your request, book your appointment accurately, and so the business has a record of it. The recording notice is delivered at the start of the call, before any qualification or data collection. Continuing the call after that notice constitutes your consent to the recording.
Florida all-party consent
Florida is an “all-party consent” state under Fla. Stat. § 934.03, meaning every party to a call must consent to its recording. FLReception is built to meet that standard by disclosing recording up front on every call and proceeding only if the caller chooses to continue. Where a call originates from another state, the stricter applicable standard governs.
What we record
- The audio of the call and a transcript of what is said.
- Your phone number, captured from the network to complete a booking.
- The booking details you provide, such as your name and chosen time.
See our Privacy Policy for how this information is used, shared, and retained.
If you don’t consent
If you do not want to be recorded or to speak with an automated assistant, you can end the call at any time and contact the business by another method. We will not continue collecting information from a caller who declines and hangs up.
For our customers
Businesses using FLReception must not disable or bypass the call-start disclosure, must not present the assistant as a live person, and are responsible for compliance with the recording and consent laws that apply to their calls. The disclosure is delivered automatically as the first thing said on every call.
